You got the money, go for it.

Heineken SB Dunk
Regular SB Dunk

There is one different type of style SB dunks have than normal dunks. Normal dunks just has Low-Top and High-Top, but SB dunks have Low-Top, Mid-Top, and High-Top. But most important of all, SB dunks have limited styles and quantities which normal dunks are continuously produced. Since it has limited styles in SB dunks, some of them are extremely high priced, some people who are not so deep into this shoes collecting might say over priced. For example, SB dunk that has Heineken logo on the side (first picture) costs about 500 dollars. This is because even though all SB dunks are limited quantity, it does not mean they make same amount as the other SB dunks. They make some of them less and some of them more. And that Heineken SB dunk is one of the rare ones out there. Don't be sad because there are some other SB dunks that people like us can afford! Like the purple SB dunk (second picture), you can afford at a fair cost. This kind of SB dunks are about 100 dollars to 150 dollars. You can't expect them to be lower than 100 dollars because it is still limited quantity. The reason that it is cheaper than those Heineken SB dunk is because it is a normal style instead of having symbols or characteristics. But it looks clean, so i usually like to afford simple SB dunks once in a while.

Gotta find the REAL SBs!

Nike Dunks (Le) - normal dunks
Nike SB Dunk
Tongue of the Shoes

Nike SB Dunks are skateboarding shoes and SB stands for Skate Boarding. And Le is a basketball type shoes, Both still has the original style but their featuring is some what same but huge changes. For SB Dunk, it has limited styles, so SB Dunks are usually high priced than the normal dunks. You can't just go to a normal footwear store and just find SB Dunks, you have to find sourced on internet to buy them. That is why it is a very good item for shoes collectors to get. There are some ways you can identify it is just normal dunks or if it is SB dunks. If you see the tongue on SB Dunks, it probably has a logo "NIKE SB" and normal dunks just have "Nike" on it. Tongue is the part of the shoe on the front. So as the other Nike shoes has different logos such as "AIR FORCE I" or "NIKE AIR". This is also counts for the insole of the shoes. Insole is the foot comforting base inside the shoes. Also for the tongue of these shoes, SB dunks have much more thicker tongue than normal ones, and reason for this is because for the safety of the skateboarders.

Which SB styles look good?

Low-Top
Mid-Top

High-Top

There are three types of SB Dunks out in the market, which are Low-Top, Mid-Top, and High-Top. I would recommend buying low top because it looks more casual for me, and ankle feels so much comfortable than the Mid-Top and the High-Top. It is also easier to take care of your dunks and it has a very good style when you are wearing short cargo pants. Mid-Top I don't recommend so much because I think it is very vague, because it does not look so good nor it does not look so bad. It is just good in certain type of clothe, not all. I have wore Mid-Tops inside the store but I have not bought it because I was not so sure if I want to wear it or not. High-Tops I recommend to wear. High-Top also fits most of the clothes, but these days I wear it with narrow jeans instead of wide jeans and stuff the end of my jean inside the shoes so it shows the all the dunk parts. People who does not like their ankles locked, it might be better just to wear Low-Tops.

Why not change your style?

There is so much styles of clothe you can wear with SB dunks. Normal Dunks, people usually wear baggy pants or basketball clothe. But, SB Dunks don't matter how you wear. I have seen people wear baggy pants, short cargo pants, street style, metro, and even with skinny jeans. From point of my view, I think it looks good on any cloth because the tongue of the SB Dunks (front cover with the logo) just balances the whole look of it. For me, I like to wear them as street style such as baggy jeans ( This jean style is very narrow at ankle but it gets wider towards the hip line). Don't hate me if that is not your taste of clothing. These kind of jeans have comfortable feel when I wear it so i just like them. Not too tight or not too big. Lots of my friends like to wear SB Dunks with metro or skinny clothing style, and it makes a good style for themselves. Please don't wear skinny jeans if you are huge like me, because it looks... not right... Anyways, people like us who are into shoes and fashion and are age between 10s and 20s, mostly have SB Dunks because it balances out most clothes. It is because SB Dunks have multi selected colors that can be balancing your outfits so you just have to find right dunk color for your own.

Better know what you are wearin!

What you need to know before wearin these kicks.

Well, the first dunks manufactured by Nike was 1985, with variety of color selections for High-Top and Low-Top, usually based on universities and colleges. When dunk was re-introduced in 1998, its style has changed to a basic basketball shoes and was symbolized for inspiration of fashion and art. Idea of making these basketball shoes was to make it lighter weight and stay closer to the ground. You don't want any basketball players to slip away in a good game you know. Dunks were first introduced, Nike tried to match its pairs to college basketball teams. You can still see it today in general nike shoes, but nike started using nylon tongue and arch to support since 1998 to today. Because Nike dunks became famous for light weight and stays closer to the ground, popularity spread though out the skateboarders. Because of the favors of them skateboarders, Nike created specialized dunks for them, which is now known as Nike SB Dunk. These days, many people wear SB Dunks for fashion and collecting. Just Nike Me!
